During a recent period of the fretted PC breakdown,I came to
realize that I took my computer for granted.I thought the high
tech machine would never let me down and I was never further
from the truth. Just when I thought things were going
smoothly,"BANG",I was in deep trouble.
Home-based businesses should be aware that computer down time
can and will mess up your schedule. After only a week,I was
behind and a bit discouraged to say the least. I was lucky
enough to be able to fix my pc myself, but ...

With a new software technology the computer software, so far
rather a specialty, is becoming an everyday commodity you can do
yourself. And you SHOULD do it yourself: no one knows better
what you want to get out of the computer than you!
Software development, isn't that the métier of a few highly
trained specialists, the "inaugurated high priests of the
computer"? - Not for applications as you need every day. With a
new software technology, "component based software development",
also ...

HOW TO GET THE COMPUTER YOU WANT WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE
By M. Nasser Bey
I have been using computers for years now and have never owned a
new one. Like many people I had little money when I started
looking for a machine. Back in the early 90's when I got my
first machine most new ones were way out of my league in terms
of cost, it was then i decided to try to get a used machine.
Early on; many used machines that I could find were from
colleges and companies that were upgrading. These ...

On December 14, 1911 Roald Amundsen and his team became the first people to reach the South Pole, beating the famous explorer and scientist Robert Scott by 33 days. For years I've been a stay-at-home mom, and I have only recently
gone back into the work force. I've done pretty well for myself,
but I could have really saved some time and frustration in the
beginning if I'd just known a few things about how to use a
computer.
I come from the era of the typewriter and adding machine, and
the computer was really intimidating to me at first. When I
first entered the business world, I lived in constant fear of
losing my document or crashing my machine. The word ...

D-BUST Your Computer ' Part 5 By: Janet L. Hall
T Stands for Templates and Time
Let's start with Templates.
What is a template?
In its simplest form, a template is a document you have created
(or one already created for you) in which you store information
and/ or data that will be unchangeable and you use over and
over. It's like creating a * shell * document and some of you
might refer to or know this type of document as a boilerplate.
For instance, you can create your company invoice as a ...

D-BUST Your Computer ' Part 4-b by: Janet L. Hall
At some time you might find that you have created a document
that you will want to save in more then one place, such as
another folder. Maybe you'll need to save your document to
another media, such as a floppy or zip disk, or a CD Write. And
maybe you have created a beautiful document that you would like
to use over and over again except some of the content will
change and the document might need to be filed in a different
folder, have a ...
